Movers & Shakers Update

Another exciting week for the junior tennis circuit as players shake up the top 100 rankings and those that dare, stir up the pro circuit.

The top ten junior ITF rankings in the boys welcomes John Patrick Smith AUS into the 10th spot from 19th place thanks to the Mitsubishi Lancer and Thomas Fabbiano up to 6th from 16th place with his win at the Perin Memorial in Croatia. The Perin also helped Michal Konecny CZE retrieve his prior status in the rankings inching up to the 17th position. Ling Zhang, winner of the girls title in the Mitsubishi Lancer hopped us to 18th place from 32nd. Meanwhile the top hundred boys welcome in Bence Gyula Tooth HUN into the 100th position. Girl's top 100 welcome in Simona Halep ROU, who won the Perin Memorial, up from 115th place to 51st. and Stephanie Vogt LIE girls finalist, jumping from 139th to 79th.

Tennys Sandgren USA and Keri Wong USA take home their first ITF junior titles by winning the Tennis Express singles events. Other first timers are Ksenia Kirilova RUS, the number two ETA 14 and Under ranked girl and Ricardo Belotti AUT who both triumphed in Malta, a Grade 5. Agustin Picco ARG displayed his ability to be a winner in front of his home country at the Copa Vendimia while Peruvian Bianca Botto adds her first junior ITF singles trophy to her collection by winning the girl's event there. Other first time singles winners include boy's winner, Tzung Seng Hsu TPE and fellow countrywoman Yui Lynn Miao for the girl's event at the Maxxis Cup.

For those who have already tasted success, Germain Gigounon BEL and Mara Nowak GER earned second career singles titles at the 6th Monastir in Tunisia.

Diverting our attention to the players hitting with the big guys: Stefanie Vogele SUI won the 10k in Hyderabad, India and Natasa Zoric SRB took home the winner's prize in Dubrovnik Croatia, a 10k event.

Madison Brengle worked her way up from the qualies all the way to the finals at the 25k in Hammond, LA USA. while Caroline Wozniacki had to win over fellow junior Alize Cornet FRA to get into the finals at the 50k Latina Italy event.

In Great Britain Yera Campos Molina ESP reached semifinals and Noemie Scharle FRA into the quarterfinals at the Bath 10k. The 10k event in Dubrovnik Croatia almost look like a junior event with five of eight players in the quarters being juniors. Making into the quarters were wildcard Indire Akiki CRO, Petra Sunic CRO, qualifier Martina Balogova SVK while Nadina Secerbegovic BIH went from qualifier to semifinalist.

At the 10k in Foggia Italy, qualifier Elena Bertoia ITA and Corinna Dentoni ITA made it into the quarters with Giulia Remondina ITA taking a step further to enter the semifinals.

Melanie Klaffner AUT represented the junior world by making it into the quarters at the 10k Ciaro in Egypt. While in Russia, wild card Ksenia Pervak RUS and Ekaterina Ivanova RUS reached the quarters and Alisa Kleybanova RUS into the semifinals at the Moscow 25k.
